Yeah, it's noticeable. I wonder if it's part of the reason she's not getting midfield minutes.

One thing the girls are doing that the men couldn't do is control the air. We are outmarking them and winning the taps but not capitalising with our ground play. Scholz in ruck looks like a winner.

In answer to the question of whether we've improved season on season, I think the answer is yes. We look more dangerous forward, more solid down back and now have a dominant ruckman who helps our midfield compete a bit better.

The problem is, the other teams have improved too. So our improvement might not translate to wins.

Not sure, possibly because he's nothing to do with SA football. Don't remember all the Vic clubs wearing armbands for Russell Ebert. Ultimately he was honoured last night at the game, so the club has paid its respect.

Off topic but that latest Telstra ad, can someone explain to me that if the woman the coach rings can get another bus and police escort, why does she get a whole new team together instead of picking up the actual team? It's country footy, they would go straight past them on the road.

I think the down back part is questionable. Apart from Ballard, and a couple Cuthbertson moments, our defenders just get pushed off it and run around pointlessly chasing.

Definitely up forward we look better. Ruck is a huge gain long term.

The midfield is not stepping up as I would've hoped, Ewing's not in there for whatever reason really hurts.

The outside is where it hurts us massively, need some pace and quality. Didn't mind a couple moments from Pope so hopefully she keeps that going.
