Form: Mt Buller are sitting pretty in second spot on the ladder with two from two to open the season. Both wins have been hard fought, however, with a come from behind triumph against the Furies and a late game fade against the Bombers. Back in the cozy confines of the Snow Dome, the Demons should be hard to beat.

Especially considering their rivals, as the Gumbies have stumbled from one heavy defeat to another. Outclassed by the Wonders, they capitulated to the Furies and now sit stone, motherless last on the ladder, a position they will hardly have expected after the team made ground off-field over the off-season.


Players to watch:
Mt Buller: WaLkEr_ThE_StAr has shown himself to be a star in his own right with a blazing first few rounds for the Demons. Having quickly established himself as a key member of the squad, his consistancy and willingness to get involved in the scrap has seen him earn plaudits at the Demons, and he can be relied upon to snag a goal or two as well.

Geelong: winty must step up for the Gumbies as they struggle to find avenues to goal. With just 4 goals for the season from 9 shots, the veteran full forward is just one of many new and old players who need to draw a line under their first couple of performances and make a stand for the jumper.


Summary: With the Gumbies redefining incompetence so far this season, this clash of second against last is unlikly to see an upset. With adoring fans packing out the Snow Dome for their first home game of the season and a Gumbies outfit which looks like the wheels have falled off before the lights turned green, this could get ugly.
