Hey all
I'm a relatively new pool owner and none of my family or friends have one. Basically my pool place here (small country town) are terrible and only help people that had a pool done by them. Anyway , the other night after one of our storms I noticed my pump wasn't working. I went out there and cleaned around the pump etc and it started to kick off again. After a while a no flow red light came on and it wouldn't restart. Anyway, the last few nights this light hasn't come on. My pool place told me to clean the "cell" I have no idea what this is and was too embarrassed to ask. I checked online and I am still unsure where this is. Can anyone shed some light on that?

They may be talking about the electrolytic cell in the chlorinator.

It sounds like there is a blockage somewhere in the system due to the storm dumping a lot of dirt and debris in the pool. You will probably also need to backwash the filter and clean the skimmer box at the very least.
