Sounds a lot like what my brother and sister in law have Whomb.

They have some sort of inflamatory arthritis (had a specific name but cant remember it for the life of me). Hereditary disease and has nothing to do with age, they are 34 and 27 respectively.

Put up with pain for years in the hip/legs/back and he is a lifesaver and she is a personal trainer so staying fit is a must for both. Doc said all the pain was coming from the hip but would put other things out of joint so pain would pop up everywhere.

They finally got it diagniosed by blood tests about 6 months ago and say that after the simple treatment (I think they started off on high doses of cortizone then moved to non-steroidal drugs after a few months) they are 1 million times better. Easy to manage when you know what you are managing.

Hopefully your treatment goes as well.

^^ Do you mean your wife's brother and sister, or your brother and his wife? The latter wouldn't make much sense in terms of heriditariness (unless you're Tasmanian...)

I broke the metacarpal bone in the palm of my hand the other day, I only found out today. Not too bad, but just a pain in the arse to work around. I will hopefully be able to do most of the things I normally do, just with a little bit of discomfort.

By the way, Whomb, you're looking good (no homo) I assumed that you were out of shape (like me) a little more than what you are. Keep up the good work mate, the results will come :thumbsu:

By the way, nice new look with your hair (again, no homo)

How does that affect work?

Ouch, that sucks.

Just goes to show, UFC sucks ;):p

Yeah, WWE is so much better :D :p

Ahh it's managable. The thing is it's not just my back; it's a million issues likely triggered from one. Have given blood/urine tests to test for an inflammatory condition, which indicate I do have something causing all of this pain.

Going in to see the specialist for that in a few weeks (was a few months waiting period), so I'm hoping I can finally know what's the core of everything, and how I can make the pain/stiffness go away. no youknowhato.

Sounds bad mate :(

One thing I know is; If your back is causing you problems, it has an impact on everything! My old man has a few crushed disks in his back so I have seen the results!

You must have a high pain threshold (after seeing your pics), which is a really good thing, but it can be a curse too. I have pushed through many things to find out that it wasnt the smartest idea, so make sure that you're not damaging yourself more by not resting..... OK, I know you wouldnt, but man I sound like my mum :p

It only makes life difficult, not impossible. The pain comes from the far right of my right hand so it is manageable. I have a loss of strength in my grip and I feel a little bit of pain most of the time. Nothing too bad though.

That's not too bad then.

Training is going well. Maintaining 100+ weight while spending most of my time in hot sweaty Darwin so pretty happy with that. But heading back to NSW tonight and will be very busy so I expect that I wont be able to fit in as much gym for the next few months.

100kg is pretty impressive.

How tall & fit/fat would you be?

Yeah cheers. I was stoked when I broke the 100kg barrier. Hit it hard for about 2 months at the gym and doing a lot of physical work.

I am 5f 11" 1/2 but have a very stocky build. Most people will coment on my disproportionally large shoulders and chest.

As far as fitness goes I try to run once a week along the beach as I get pain in my shins from too much running or running on hard surfaces (very low arches in the feet and another issue). As far as body fat goes I couldnt give you a percentage but obliques look okay without being anything special and a small covering of fat over my abs. I still have reasonably flat stomach but no tone in the region even though there are reasonable muscles under there, if that makes sense.

Sleep and diet are my two things that will stop me from getting super ripped but they arent going to change due to time.

Edit: Aand Beer, I love my beer.

Ha yeah it is good. Little work ever has to go into my chest, back, shoulders and triceps to get them looking good. Arms sometimes look comparitavly skinny even though above average size so require a fair bit.

Finally started doing legs which i think pushed me over the 100kg mark, and naturally have thick thighs.

Will all melt off over the next few months though I expect and I will go back down to 95 - 97. Signed both kids up to soccer which will take a day out of my weekends + 7am starts. Work is bad until the financial year ticks over... FML.

You getting back into it or still waiting on the bloods?
