As I've found out this time around, drafting this early is not for me - keep getting caught in these no-man's land areas, had NFI who to take with my most recent pick. Couldn't risk waiting on Sproles as a handcuff, doesn't really add anything to my squad though. Have a few players I would have gone had I not had McCoy, but I recognise I would have been reaching on all of them by a fair bit, bit of an awkward slot here

In a league this size, you can do either. I personally probably won't have back ups but most probably will.

Yeh you can trade with other people during the season, and drop players and pick up unowned players.

Trades are open all season. There is also a waiver wire and free agent additions.

In other words, there is always a way to replace injured/suspended/bye players.
