Would love to hear which are the biggest stories from each club to get excited about going into 2024? Sometimes you don't have an ear low enough to the ground to pick up on the best stories that the dedicated fans are excited about.

  • Which player needs to perform and why?
  • Is this Player X's last chance at success?
  • Underperforming leaders who need to stand up?
  • Player X is being flung into a different position and they are going to sink or swim.

Could be anything really.

North examples:
  • Is the George Wardlaw hype going to eventuate?
  • Can LDU become a genuine great of NMFC? he's now 24 and never put a full season together.
  • Can Zane Duursma and Colby McKercher show big signs like Wardlaw and Sheezel?
  • Luke Mcdonald is under intense pressure as a captain. Could he get stood down after one season? People thought his career would look more like Darcy Moore but obviously, nowhere near. (Context: Father son, leadership qualities, proposed General from the backline).

Carlton

* Will Zac Williams stay fit?

* Can Harry McKay regain consistency?

* Will Elijah Hollands and Orazio Fantasia add some x factor to our side?

Bonus question:

* Can we start the season well?

1- Will the Lions go one better in 2024?
2- Will Will Ashroft and Tom Doedee have enough time to get back to their best by September?
3- How many times will Take me Home, Country Roads be blared over the speakers at the Gabba in 2024?

It's all about the forward line for us.

The talls, Lewis and Chol. Will Lewis stay fit and will we get the effort required from Chol.

The smalls, Ginnivan and Watson. Can Ginnivan capture his best footy can Watson adjust to the level.

And the oldies, Breust, Gunson and Wingard. Breust had a down year in 22 and a good year last year, Gunston the opposite but returning to a system he knows, will we see any footy from Wingard.
