Today's Richmond v Geelong game. The umpire blows his whistle to stop play for a ball up. Joel Selwood is on his knees. Alex Rance picks the ball up and slams it into Selwood's face. It's a dog act by Rance but how does it sit within the rules? Free kick? Report for rough conduct?

Selwood would probably have earned himself a free kick if he wasn't trying to perfect the backwards swan dive while clutching at his face.

Should receive a warning letter from the AFL for staging.

Rance has a history of being a bit of a sook. What game was it last year where he really cracked it?

Yep. What a clown. Have to wonder why the ball was thrown too, perhaps some players are sick of Ducky's constant poor sportsmanship - he loves rubbing players faces into the ground after the play has moved on.

lol

The bar to what constitutes a dog act is set at a record low.
