wanted to buy the company. they wanted to run it on the cheap. all that stuff.

I don't buy the "run it on the cheap" schtick from the dirt sheets. You don't go and spend an arm and a leg in Nemeth, Ali etc as well as a complete rebrand if you're wanting to not spend money.

yes, fair call that. plus Dreamer's catering bill. :drunk:

Dreamer apparently canned a lot of the dirt sheet stuff on Busted Open. I think it's as simple as Anthem wanting someone as president who has experience with TV deals (Scott has none or very little) and Scott did not want to move roles. He then tried to buy the company however Anthem declined. Scott - not wanting another role and unsuccessful in trying to buy the company - opted to leave.

In the end, people shuffle roles in corporates a hell of a lot so what Anthem were doing isn't all that uncommon in business. That said, you can absolutely understand why Scott - someone so emotionally invested - took an all or nothing approach.

Could honestly see him return to the company in some capacity after a break.

Lot of talent tweeting an hourglass, presumably because of the firing of Scott?

Wouldn't surprise me if they're going to book a TNA v Anthem angle tbh. Dreamer shared it too and if you go off his comments on Busted Open he is probably the least likely to threaten to quit because of Scott. Very much towed the company line.

Just wait for some talent to come out with #wewantscott signs. He'll probably return and win the world title.

Exceeded expectations and should ease any nerves of what the post-Scott era has to offer.

Mustafa Ali was so over.

Moose vs EY for the World Title doesn’t scream great main event for future. But maybe it will be better than it sounds.

It's in two weeks. As far as short term feuds go, could be worse. A chance to give Moose another win ahead of commencing his feud with Nemeth.

on the part I watched just now it looks to be the Australian showcase from Wagga. there is lucky to be 200 people in the crowd. Matt Hayter just won a match.

this show I believe: Card « Impact Wrestling Australian Showcase « Events Database « CAGEMATCH - The Internet Wrestling Database

These regional grants are all well and good, but unless you're within easy reach of Wagga you'd have to have lots of spare cash to have gone.

I crunched the numbers when it was announced and flights + accom would have set me back over 1k alone, let alone factoring in tickets, food etc.

Hope TNA partner with WSW and run an actual show in a capital city some time soon.
