i think Indycar need to do some reviews on safety..after this, and greg Moore last year, and others etc...its gettign ridiculous.

Those oval tracks are dangerous.If you have a spin your likely to get cleaned up by an on coming car at high speed .

Get rid of oval tracks & go back to street circuits or flat tracks.

Yeah a real bad accident, he should be thankful that he is alive. But something has to be done to make racing safer.

very very very sad news that. Zanardi was a personal favourite of mine...a loveable larrikin and a pretty good driver as well. This is yet another tragedy for IndyCar/CART racing. There have been numerous deaths in the alst 3 years...nothing more sickening than Greg Moores last year - the most sickening accident ive ever seen.

I hope Zanardi gets well, as it was doubtful he would live for a while there, and hope he returns to a role in car racing ala Frank Williams.

Shocking shocking accident...just terrible. I don't know what CART can do about it though - getting rid of ovals would mean nearly all of their major races are gone.

And no matter what measures are taken, motor racing will always be dangerous and very little can be done to protect someone when a car hits them at 320km/h.

My thoughts are with Zanardi and his family in this terrible time.
