St Kilda is gearing up for a Tribunal appearance following Jack Higgins’ three-game ban for a tackle that left Port Adelaide’s Aliir Aliir concussed.

During Friday night’s match at Adelaide Oval, Higgins’ tackle led to Aliir’s head hitting the ground, forcing him to be subbed out of the game. As a result, Aliir will miss Port Adelaide’s upcoming Showdown against Adelaide due to concussion.

The Saints have the option to challenge the rough conduct charge or seek a reduction in the incident’s grading to potentially reduce the penalty. The tackle was assessed as careless contact with severe impact and high contact.

Meanwhile, the Western Bulldogs have confirmed that Rhylee West will accept his one-game suspension for rough conduct following his high bump on Fremantle’s Brandon Walker.
