guess what, Sam Newman, also in the same industry is also paid to comment and football and all things related to it. not only is sam paid to comment, but he's paid to be funny and take the piss. most people can accept this and have a laugh. people have for the last 10 years or however long the show's been going. Caro on the other hand being the thin skinned, whinging, ugly poor excuse for a footy journo (she should be writing for womans day) just has no sense of humour and can't take what she likes to dish out

Since Newman has been back on the show he hasn't been funny, or interesting whatsoever.

The scenes with him are so laboured and unfunny at the moment.
Billy could do his job just as well - as Sam actually has no idea about modern football and zero affection for the game.

Garry and JB do a terrific job hosting, and the panel is great generally - but Sam needs to freshen up a bit, and Marmalade hasn't been funny at all for a good 10 years.

Hopefully the panel will be Aker, Richo and Fev tonight - as they are all terrific on the panel.

Closer to the mark than you might think , the Footy show is an increasingly rare species on Australian television , a high maintenance beast that requires above the norm ratings for it's time slot and channel nine is at a cross roads with the show , they can continue as present or revamp the personnel or reinvent the show from the bottom up or choose to euthanase the show in favor of their current staple of reality detritus.

But above all they can do whatever they choose and the plebian masses will blame women , Lane and Wilson , how convenient.

With the amount of rumors and details of her private life being revealed weekly, I'd say she has been humiliated. And why does it matter who is being humiliated?? The reason many people are up in arms over this is because they don't like Sam and are using this as an excuse to stick the boots in. How often do celebrities have to endure attacks about their body weight, sex life, and personal life? When you are in the public eye you are always going to attract negative attention as well as positive.

Im sure caro is mature and smart enough to understand and cop the flack if she's written a FOOTBALL related column which is incorrect. She's a journo being paid to voice her opinion on all things to do with FOOTBALL not how people look or dress. That's what she does.
