This was a superstar, 3-vote Brownlow game. Just in command, and looked it, with 38 mostly valuable possessions. Destroyed a number of North Melbourne attempts to attack and set up a number of our own. Quite appropriately sounds a bit like a Victoria Cross citation. Very worthy winner of the Major Peter Badcoe medal.

4 - Dougal Howard
Fantastic game and while all our defence worked well Dougal delivered the spectacle, especially early. If there was ever a case for joint winners of the Major Peter Badcoe medal this was it.

3 - Sam Gray
Kicked the goals that had to be got, plus the occasional freak extra. In a genuine competition with Ebert as our best forward with 9 goals in 4 games ve Ebert's 10 goals in 6. Sammy's a bit more accurate, Ebo's extra height and slightly stronger contested marking creates more opportunities. Like his 'brother' Robbie Sammy played some great footy further up the ground.

2 - Connor Rozee
I think after the above 3 it becomes hard to decide. Duursma is probably next on stats and spectacle alone. But Rozee was just behind and that insane high mark and goal just has to be awarded. Remember that old image of a Wingard mark where someone grafted on angel wings? Must be jet packs built into the #20 guernsey.

1 - Dan Houston
Smooth operator with quite high possessions (21) for a defender. Exciting, attacking style.

As so often hard to decide the latter votes.
