Apparently us Old Farts didn't. Bill can shove his franking credits up his clacker, but to his credit, he did show his hand prior to the election.
He no doubt lost a LOT of votes there...a vote is a vote regardless of the demographic.
Only two certainties. Death and taxes. Apparently older people want handouts in the form of tax refunds when they haven’t paid any tax. As for the younger generation? Who gives a heck about them? I’m starting to think that baby boomers only think about themselves.;)

I’m not sure about that. This one is squarely on the people of Australia. They just can’t make a decision that guarantees stable government.
Yes I agree but still.
One thing for sure is that this whole business of rolling weekly/ monthly polls is a waste of time and money and more innacurate than weather predictions. However it influences policy and surely is grossly detrimental to any parliament. Lets be honest without a decent majority nothing can ever get done. And if nothing substantial gets changed there is nothing to sway voters based on whats gone right or wrong and so it all comes down to personalities over policies. And liars don't have to be accountable since Howard proved it so.

Well its not over yet but the fact will remain. The system is broken badly.
Labor needs to stop picking trade union people to run it or they can never win properly.
Because there is more mistrust of unions than of conservatives.

Labor was previously almost Winx odds to win.

Has an opposition leader in the past lasted after 2 election defeats?

These days even PM's don't last the full term....Gillard, Rudd.Abbott.Turnbull.

Shirley it looks like Shorten will go.
