I’m not saying he won’t but it’s a stupid call to say Kirby hasn’t been in his category. Saad has actually been named 3 times in the bests but one was in a flogging. Kirby could of easily polled in every game and could have three best ons from what I’m told

Kelly, Coates, Gillingham, Heavyside, Davis and Curnow. Pretty hard playing better then that group enough times during the year to win the medal.

because they have a raft of blokes who can tear a game apart on any given day and therefore could attract the 3 votes from the umps

I wouldn’t say shouldn’t but yes that’s why he is a good chance. They have no player who really jumps out at you yet they will win enough games to see them average 5 votes a game for their players.
