The only way to rebuild properly is to finish bottom 3 for a few years. It's the only way to get the best elite talent. They seriously need to get rid of academies and father son or make it extremely difficult to match those very high bids -

The bottom 3 being Essendon Richmond and Carlton must be so infuriating for the AFL and none of them look like they'll be contending for awhile. Collingwood are also about to fall off that cliff too. They can't just hang their hats on Geelong and Hawthorn for another 20 years. -

The bad thing is if they are all highly rated juniors and they sacrifice even more draft captial and players to get all of them and then none of them become the actual stars they need. Seriously teams should be getting on the phone to Geordiadies's manager and offering him buckets of cash. -

Just quietly I think Steven King is going to be an excellent coach. To do what he's done in just one pre season when you basically have to start from scratch in midfield is honestly amazing. -
