I am not sure if I should have started a new thread on this, but with the whole issue of the Suns wearing the Red and yellow jumper, I was thinking that it may not have any impact or may actually work to benefit us indirectly?
Maybe they have the Chinese colours on the jumper, but if that draws...
OK well I am not getting sucked into petty arguments from some other posters on here who are trying to get me to arc up (not you telsor, but I am referring to other replies that are around the time of your reply).
But the fact was as soon as SANFL put court action on us, legally we could not...
True, but it was for 1991 entry, but yes technically you are correct that the bid was in 1990, but it was for the 1991 season entry.
Here is the full explanation of the 1990 Bid of Port and the saga surrounding it if anyone is interested...
We were approved by the AFL in 1991 but as we went behind the backs of the SANFL, as soon as the SANFL found out they then flooded us with legal action which prevented us being able to enter the AFL and thus they invented the Adelaide Crows composite side.
That's the facts and it's been...
I will try to find it, but apparantly only the website has the traditional Lion logo (which is an awesome logo and the cartoon lion that's more modern on the jumpers is shite in my opinion, but I am a man who likes traditional things).
Basically it said that soon Brisbane FC want to remove the...
The irony is that my club (Port) actually in it's 1991 bid for the AFL, the original plan was to totally exit the SANFL and enter the AFL (leaving no Port Adealide in the SANFL... and the SANFL objected to this!
This needs to end up in the High Court, this is something that could also used be Essendon if they feel cornered to use any legal tactic than can tear the AFL up... I am sure the lawyers know alot anyway, so what we chat is idle chat really.
I am just disgusted how this hasn't been handed...
But all this can easily be taken down with "restraint of trade" in court.... as not only would the draft come down but also the AFL's ownerships of the clubs!
All our clubs would be truly free and independent as entities as they were intended by their creators in the 1800's
I think it's time we...
All but guaranteeing for Hawthorn.. wait a second mate... we got Ryder... and out coach Ken say "yes we Ken!!!"
Watch out Hawthorn, in 2015 we are Port Adelaide and we are the freight train coming you way!!!
Ok say if Hird is guilty as sin, then how does his actions justify taking down a whole club?
Hird is NOT Essendon, as no man is greater than the club.... the clubs are for the people! They are greater than any one man.
I was told by another Bombers member on bigfooty that you can not appeal after the tribunal decision, is that correct?
As I believe as a club you should have the right to appeal as it concerns your club!
I was told that only the AFL or WADA or ASADA can appeal.. but not Essendon or the...
All clubs should join together to tell the AFL that Essendon need the right to Appeal over the AFL's head as this is not currently possible.
I believe that superseding the AFL so that all clubs can start a breakaway competition is best as we can't even talk about Essendon having fair right and...
Man I always was sad how Fitzroy has been treated so bad and now Brisbane are gonna get rid of the traditional logo entirely in all traces soon... They were royally ****** over.
Fitzroy needed a merger with a Melbourne based team or it needed funding to stay afloat... you can blame the AFL for...
History is kind of useless when it comes to those records, as anything can happen really.
Also if we can play Ryder and Monfries it will change alot... but the wildcard factor is that if Ryder and Monfries are banned for X amount of time, lets say 6 months then we could lose a few games...
Look, guys, can we just change their names to "Jimmy" and "Johnno" by DEPOL? Would that avoid the bans? Check if it's a loophole any lawyer Port supporters on here! :D
