Info on the TAC is here: https://aflcanada.com/the-2024-transatlantic-cup/
Biggest announcements:
Six teams of men’s and women’s teams each: USA, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, France, and Colombia.
Schedule will come out at the end of May.
The Suns are a fantastic group and hopefully you get a chance to get involved with them at some level, even if it's just as a spectator or volunteer. I have contact info for some of the folks there if you need.
Mmmm, that's not really the point of Nationals. Quebec and Calgary usually play USAFL clubs during the course of the season so having them involved is one thing. The Centrals Blues used to participate in the women's back in the day but they were playing Columbus and New York regularly. If...
Starting this since news of the three tournaments is starting to come together:
TransAtlantic Cup: August 2-11 in Toronto.
Date and location confirmed through USAFL communications.
Teams: "Canada, USA, Columbia, and all affiliated AFL Europe Nations," though a complete list of the latter is...
Hooo boy. Where to begin.
The USAFL National Championships is meant to determine who the best team in the league is for that season. The seedings and divisions are determined by season performance and previous years’ performance, with consideration given to the number of players a team can...

As of this posting, the men's matches from August 5th are there. The women's matches on the 19th will also be in that spot.
We're planning on streaming again, though be warned that the quality will be okay at best. Reserves game is 12pm USCDT (3am 20/8 AEST) and the...
It scares me that I agree with just about all of this. XD
I don't think having a world body separate from the AFL is a bad idea. My worry is that there might be those who will want to take it towards the road of profiteering rather than actually growing and sustaining something grass roots.
Well, after some sleep, I can confirm that I'm angry, at least.
What pisses me off about this is that for the last four years, they've been stringing everyone along. "We'll have it in 2021." "We'll have it in 2023." "We'll have it in 2024." "We're not going to have it."
And as you...
Relatively. They were founded in late 2019 and joined the league officially in 2020. They've almost completely replaced the Dallas Dingoes (nee Magpies), who are struggling for numbers.
I appreciate the fact that it's a group of people in an area of the world that doesn't have a program.
My suggestion above wasn't that you all actually play in London, but rather you reach out to the established groups for support in starting up your own team/comp etc. They have a much bigger...
Played on a rectangular field (and rules change based on rugby vs soccer fields, for example), no throw ins, no behind posts, no soccering, and in the American version you can throw the ball. It's AFLX but without all the Gil bells and whistles.
It's not real footy.
It's a bastardized form of footy formed by someone who is trying to cash in on the game in foreign markets by changing the rules slightly and packaging it as a form of Aussie Rules. They tried to do the same in the states and, well, failed. It's the same group who is...
