    Let's be serious here. If we can't touch up Freo at the G by a decent margin and then cruise into next week, we are kidding ourselves re: going deep this year. Also, the quality of this thread is very poor going by the normal standards on this board. Shame, but what can you do.

    Playing Freo at the G in week one of the finals would be pretty ideal IMHO. Whoever we play, we need to play week 1 in Melbourne to be any sort of chance of going deep.

    I don't think we can, but it's exciting to even be an outside chance in a clear rebuilding year. I reckon if we played Hawthorn we would get them, but our veterans would expend so much energy that we'd be seriously vulnerable the following week. All I know is, no Cats fan should be too upset...
