    Very few bowlers in Shield going at 140+ these days too. Uzzie would be fine if we were facing a bunch of 130 plodders (like in Sri Lanka). He's been a great servant of the game, but age catches us all. It's time to sit back and celebrate a wonderful career.

    The "until 2026" report sounds alarming, but it really means "one month". An interrupted pre-season is never good, but there's a big difference between "until 2026" and "for 2026" which is the way I read it the first time.

    Has also had 2 good 1-day knocks this season, and going back a little further hit a ton and a 50 in a first class match for Warwickshire. It's a pity that the start of the Shield season saw him out with injury.

    Would argue that the turnaround came in the round 20 match v Melbourne when he was ironed out by May. After missing the next week with concussion, he played the last four rounds, and was a pretty decent contributor in all.

    Yes, but can ask for an extension if needed. We did last year to get Will White after Jagga was injured.

It's been coming for at least 2 years, and has only been extended due to a feeling that we shouldn't have replaced both long-term openers at the same time.
