    Trade period finishes on Wednesday and the majority of the trades happen on the last day.Next years trade period has been a disaster so far.

    Perhaps we might keep Jones. If he has no interest from other clubs and we can’t fill the KPD, we add him back as a rookie..This allows him to potentially find a longer term deal and provides a fall back option for the dogs

    I suggest they are doing all of these things - plus many other things you have not listed. The process never guarantees an outcome, other factors are at play - many of which have been mentioned on this forum.
