    That would make sense from a wicket preparedness point of view, but Mackay is not exactly a boxoffice venue for Olympic cricket.

    I have Melbourne based extended family members who are Dons supporters but always used to go to the Richmond/Carlton season opener, just because it was the season opener. They aren't going to it anymore as it has now lost that aspect.

    Had two clubs in Canterbury and St George who are amongst the biggest in Sydney who evidently had alot of travelling fans that helped maintain a decent crowd figure. The English clubs fans contribution is probably under recognised as well. All up it seems about 60% of the crowds for these games...

    Why would you bother asking for permission from these supposed global bodies when they have no political power over you (the US) to place consequenses for your actions anyway? Its a few token statements from certain nations "condemning" you, and thats about it. No sanctons, nothing else.

    Israel will now develop a narrative that all elements of the regime must now be snuffed out from all potential hiding places in Iran, even though its head is apparently gone. Civilian deaths, including children, will just be collateral damage.
