Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

As many have already said, it's the improvement to come that's exciting. We got 2 excellent players and we didn't overpay. Barras and battle allow Frosty to play on less dangerous towards. They allow others to go up the ground. There will be improvement in players like Ginni and Chol who have...

Can you imagine wrecking your marriage and alienating your friends over the draft? It would be an Adam Sandler movie if it wasn't so sad....and then broadcasting online how ridiculous you are. At the very least I keep my ridiculousness behind closed doors.

How dare you speak such logic in our presence, blasphemer. Off with his head, he's a heretic.

I don't think Mitch will go. I'm OK if he does for a good price. I would prefer we take our time with him and he replaces Gunston.

I completely see where you're coming from and your logic makes sense. I'm just an armchair critic, so forgive me for butting in....but maybe in Sam's head he's not paying two firsts for Barras, he's paying 2 firsts for a couple of flags.

I don't want him, purely based on his face. But the melts down at Geelong would be a thing of beauty. I would love to see Chris Scott after Hawkins kicks a bag and we win by a goal in a preliminary. Scott would surly become Australia's new face for mental health issues.

Oppo Camp 2024 Finals Discussion (other games)

Went to a wedding last might in the CBD. We didn't know anyone there besides the bride. Funnily enough, of the 8 people on our table 7 of them were Hawks supporters. It was a glorious night of drinking eating and celebrating. The actual wedding was OK too.

Oppo Camp 2024 Finals Discussion (other games)

Ken was a funny looking lad. Although he was in year eleven his receding hairline and his penchant for eating meat pies at the local servo had given him the appearance of a middle aged slob. This is the story of the day Ken beat up a year 8 boy and then taunted him. Ken really thought that he...

Yes, but a good sort of delusional.

From a strictly value perspective you would probably do that deal. From a Hawks perspective I'd keep him. Firstly he would be excellent depth, Secondly there might be a spot for him if a couple of the others play further up the ground, ie. Sic, Weddle. I love what he did this year, as did many...

News Hawthorn in the media 2024

Caro, (who physically makes my guts turn), reckons he said, "you ain't going anywhere, you cheeky little f@#k." I would just like to mention again how sick Caro makes me. To the point that I might need to mention it to my therapist.

News Hawthorn in the media 2024

I agree 100%, most people love an underdog story, if that post match incident hadn't happened. But it's been framed in a way where the Hawthorn negativity has reered it's head. In my non Hawthorn circles the word is that we are sooks and deserved getting beat because of how we carried on all...

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

Like many others have said, I wouldn't give 2 firsts or a best 22 player but anything else I'm very comfortable with. Getting both Barras and Battle unlocks so much potential in many other players. We could potentially see entire new forward line and midfield dynamics by bringing them in and...

News Hawthorn in the media 2024

During the 3peat era we broke so many brains that most of the AFL world is suffering from PTSD. During the season they couldn't say much because we were "young, fun and kind to the media". Deep down though it was festering, every win was triggering them. That voice in their heads reminding them...

Autopsy Hawthorn pipped at the post by Port Adelaide

I think a few people are over complicating it and arguing for nothing. We are a young emerging team that hasn't had that kind of pressure thrown at us before. Now they've seen it and felt it and I don't think it will happen again. They'll come back, train harder than before. We will be ready...
