    This entire trade has no legs. If you break it down, pick 1 is beimg traded for pick 3 and 12 but pick 2 is being traded for 8 and 12. Forget points, the ability to pick the 2nd (3rd for arguments sake) best player in the draft isn't accounted for

    But what about Gaff and Dangers consistent body of work over several years? Or are we ignoring that? Proven commodities are worth more than speculative ones.

    Can you elaborate on this? Genuinely interested on your thought process? I just can't wrap my head around the resume of Gaff or Danger being worth LESS than Kelly at the trade table.

    If the Eagles can turn their picks into Melbourne's pick 3 or St Kilda's pick 6 (both clubs could do with more picks given the amount of players they would like to bring in) then they may as well offer that pick to Geelong for kelly. No other club will touch Kelly in the draft that early...

    Out of curiousity, what is the highest value a player has been traded for? 2 first rounder plus whatever else Geelong has requested must be up there. Off the top of my head Sheil was 2 firsts, Judd was Kennedy, pick 3 and pick 20, Danger wasn't much as it was a forced hand.
