    Why? It doesn't change the game at all, not like introducing a sub rule or anything. Do you always want to have an inequitable draw, lopsided amounts of travel etc etc. Just because it is what we have now? Conferences would make the structure of the competition fairer, but would have no effect...

    One thing that stinks is that near bankrupt Melbourne clubs have been able to sell home games north, but are not allowed to sell home games west, where the clubs not only have money but have sold out the local stadium, so there would be a strong market for a non-members game or two.
