I am amused by anyone who refers to a thread on a footy forum as "pointless".

Please don't let it be that he'll actually play. He's so very bad at footy and we're always crap when he's in. I'd rather we continue with the patchwork than go back to this dead set hack.

Is it not the job of the recruiter to determine which is which? My point is that over time you can have a basis to work out if a recruiter is actually any good at doing that. Otherwise, you might as well just employ anyone to do it.

But at some point you have to determine if a professional is actually good at their job or not. The job being difficult is not really relevant. With enough of a body of work, which we definitely have with FJ, it is possible to analyse performance. Of course, everyone will have differing views...
