Preview Essendon vs Carlton, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Saturday 27 August @ 2:10 PM

Did you remember to add the points against? It doesn't matter when the game is, a better percentage for the individual game will have more effect on the overall percentage for the year.

Preview Essendon vs Carlton, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Saturday 27 August @ 2:10 PM

The first bit you got the wrong way around. A 10 point win gives more percentage in a lower scoring game than in a high scoring one. Let's say the Brisbane-Saints game ends up being an 85-79 point win to the Saints, based on their average points for this season, the Lions would finish on...

    AFL Player 3: Darcy Parish

You are correct if the stat is to 1 decimal place. I never saw that stat, just assumed it was a whole number as it was quoted as '0' not '0.0'. Anyway who really cares, he is a very promising player IMO.

Robbo reckons Watson in the next few weeks. Google is your friend BTW

If the stat is rounded to the nearest whole number it will show up as 0.

Coaching Roundabout - Coaching structure for 2015 finalised

You speak too much sense for these parts.

    Retired #8: Jason Winderlich

Our club has become a joke. I can't even defend them anymore. Would never support anyone else but I'm rapidly losing interest in AFL now. I feel really sorry for the potential draftees and their families worrying whether or not Essendon will pick them.

Coaching Roundabout - Coaching structure for 2015 finalised

Whether you want Hird coaching or not, why should he be when he is so focused on the court case? I want a coach 100% dedicated to making Essendon, the club, not Essendon, an individual, great again. More than happy for Hird to try to clear his name, infact I support it, but I would much rather...

Traded #30: Patrick Ryder - Returns to the club as Indigenous Player Development Manager

He also might be more inclined to leave given we lost the case and don't really know how or when it will end. But yes, from a potential club perspective, I suppose there is more risk now.

AFL Autopsy Ess 12.9.81 def by NM 14.9.93

That's where I believe the mental toughness is letting us down. Unable to keep the pressure on and let the opposition back in. Our structures are ok, the application of them is the biggest problem.

Sheedy, Thompson and Hird. A people's campaign.

Can't afford them all surely with the salary cap on coaching departments next year. Also the ASADA legal costs are large and could get much larger. Unfortunately we do not have unlimited funds.

AFL Autopsy Ess 12.9.81 def by NM 14.9.93

Semantics. I classified blowing leads as mental toughness. Call it what you will. I believe they have progressed as far as structures, on field leadership and overall footy smarts. A noticeable difference lacking this year was that amazing passion we saw in 2013. Colyer reminded me of it but the...
