I heard Champion data guy Hoyne say effective disposals are measured if the same team retains possession. So even if the ball bounces 4 times and the player has to back track for 15 metres and pick it up as long he is on the same team it is considered "effective". -

Its the coaching (and the players). I remember listening to Fly (Pies) when he was saying that details matter when commenting that his his team was throwing the ball back to umpire too quickly, when they were trying to wind the clock down. Voss does not coach any details...just some here... -

So we don't have the cattle, how do we get the cattle? We need 4 like Heeney, Warner, Ashcroft, Ashcroft, Guilden, Daicos, Daicos, Blakey..etc. You have to find them in the draft and wait...we are years away. We have Smith (looks to have the skill set) and Walsh (occassionaly). We get Cody... -

I don't know if it is fitness, you can only run so fast, no matter how fit Cripps, Hewitt, Lord, Walsh, Hollands, .... etc. get they are not fast. -

Re the PCL issue. Am I stupid (Dont answer that please) but can't the rucks just wear knee guards. I am not talking roller derby style (though bright pink ones would look great). They wear shin pads jut get knee ones. Do they not stay up as well on the knee. -

The thing that frustrates me with our backline and Young is when a better kick like Gov, Saad, Zac has the ball and kicks horizontal or backwards kick 15/20 meters to Young and puts the onus on Young to find a pass through traffic. Gov did it to him last night, we know Gov, Saad, Zac, Jacob... -

I am not sure what is so controversial about my view that we need to go past Williams, Gov and Kemp. Williams has been moved from the back line as he was exposed by small forwards. Then he went forward and made marginal impact. He is not a gun for me in any sense. Gov only got a one year... -
