Certified Legendary Thread Race for the flag, in squiggly lines

System predicts games based on teams current ranking head to head, with allowance for each team to play within a window of their ranking. So for Ess, it would have them almost certainly losing to a top ranked team, as the window of Ess playing above their ranking and a better ranked team playing...

I'm a bit late to this discussion, but yes mid week last week Melb was listed as 0% (was a very low % but I trim off the small fry). Current estimation has them at 3% (actual 2.95%). Interesting that throughout the 2nd half of the year, the outsiders for 8th have been mainly PA and STK. Melb...

2016 Non-Crows AFL Discussion - Cont. in Part 2 (link in OP)

Thanks Out of Towner - glad you see the merits in it. It's principle drawback is the high probability of no local derbies for SA/WA etc's, which has been raised before. Ran some squiggle scenarios yesterday, put Richmond way up (for a laugh). At the top of the new prediction it said 'Premier: Richmond', but the actual outcome via finals was still a WCE win. Did it just now and a similar result.

Wouldn't say 'personally thought GWS would win', but the form indicators for both teams were so diametrically opposed that the Carlton tip was all but expected/known to be wrong. And certainly its not counted as correct when the model said otherwise. What it does indicate is that there needs to...
