    He's a trier and has all of the determination you want to see, so it's hard to be critical of him, but he's not really good enough. Sydney wouldn't have let him go if they thought there was a player there. And let him go for virtually nothing.

    Didn't Rhyce Shaw have the same concerns when he first got to the club? It didn't work out but he was coming from clubs that thrive on fitness and was apparently shocked at the fitness level of our list. I don't know any of this first hand but I do recall him being a bit bemused.

    It's just a hangover from the NM January jinx which has plagued us for who knows how long.

    That was the game where Donald McDonald said mid week he'll be right and next minute Jones hobbles behind on crutches. :oops: Shouldn't have played. Neither should have Spud or Harris. If not a final, those three would have been in having surgery.

    I suppose if I'm being fair they didn't buy Wayne Johnston or Rod Ashman who were very good finals players. But they got caught out eventually because they were cheating.
