    It was ASHLEY Matthews he originally went from LILYDALE to Carlton 1989-91 then us 1992-93. 188cm/82kgs/ Born 1969/Played 6 games and 1 goals/ Night games 3 and 1 goal. He just went like a lot of our talls during this period.

    I have just been able to obtain a great book LOCAL RITES by Paul Daffey. I've only read the first story and it's a beauty about FFC and the Fitzroy Reds. If the rest is as good, and I am sure they will be it will be enjoyable. Get it, borrow it at least for the FFC story.

    I follow Fitzroy Reds and of course the guernsey that Brisbane wears. I know that it has changed but the maroon and blue is still ours.

    First not Ninth Sorry you've got it wrong, its the first for flag for Brisbane and the Ninth for the Lions. The colours and the memories were there on Saturday but the hurt will always remain.

    Lions Premership

    The advertisment put in the papers by Carlton Draught said it all "One flag to Brisbane", "Nine flags to the Lions". I think everyone enjoyed the win but a hell of a lot more just enjoyed seeing the Fitzroy colours where they should be and would have been if the AFL hadn't killed them.
