    Number 42 should never have been retired. Pants was a good player but not worthy of retiring his number. Same with 35 all be it different situation. All numbers should be in play ever year. Shows that no one is bigger then the club.

    The club didn't say we wouldn't trade with Brisbane. They said we won't keep negotiating with them. If they come back to us with a better deal that we like we will deal with them. But we will not sit at the table and go back and forth. We are doing that with other sides.

    I know it's crazy. I'm starting to think let's do this trade and then all the whiners can turn in their membership and fu$k off. But then They'll come back saying shit like black and white till I die side by side. Only if it meets my arm chair opinion I'm typing on a footy forum though.

    Yeah like this idea. Still push the lions for more then pick 4 but in the end we could end up getting a gun player for the next 12 years into the club. Still would love to keep beams but let's make the best of the situation.

    Because It's not the school yard. It works for both parties. If you renege it hurts you with future trades with that club. If Carlton agree to it they don't bid and he falls to the second round. They can't renege because they won't get pick 4. The only club that can go back on their word is us...

    You get in talks before it starts. If you think clubs wait till the trade period actually starts your kidding yourself. That's why we trade with them they can't bid with a pick they are going to trade to us. And they can't bid with a pick they haven't received from us yet.

    Here is an idea. If we think Carlton is the only club that might bid on Moore then why not trade with them. If we get pick 4 for beams trade that to Carlton for their pick 6 and a player. That takes their pick out of the bidding process. We get pick 6 and don't have to use our pick 8 on Moore...

    Toast Positives from Round 22 v GWS

    Really liked Witts. He didn't take these marks but when he did go for some he had his hands out in front stretched out. When he starts taking them he will take 10 plus a game. Just needs to stick them.
