Was ineligible (due to age) to play vfl last year so played next level down and was clear best on ground in all 4 games (including against Bendigo who had multiple aflw players drafted).     Travis johnstone has been far better over his career than fraser. he was brilliant in all of his finals for us and there is no way fraser has played a game anywhere near as good as johnstone in the semifinal against adelaide at teh g in 2002.

    essendon right now is not a successful club (either). collingwood is more successful and i can understand him saying i want to go to collingwood because i want to have a chance at a flag soon. But not essendon. clearly he has no respect for melbourne and doesn't think much of our future...

    im out by few months, the website i looked at has his birthday as 6/10/83 rather than 10/6/83. Regardless, my point stands that he will be far from gone when we challenge.

    Davey turns 26 in october. IMO we will make finals in 2011 (assuming we keep davey), but im one-eyed, so i'll give 2012. For the entire 2012 season he will be aged 28. Hardly over the hill and by then our under 25 brigade will have plenty of experience in them and should be genuinely challenging...

    You need a good UMAT to get an interview, then you need to interview well and have a pretty high score. get scores over 98 but lots of people still get in with scores below 98. Also if you are from the country, or willing to be bonded to the country, you can get in with scores under 95.

    You won't get pick 2 from us for a guy who is 27 in a month or so and an ordinary defender (our quality and depth of good young tall defenders is probably our biggest strength. May be able to work out some kind of deal where you guys get pick 2 (and something/someone else) and we get Burgoyne...

    I do rate Warnock, i just don't overrate him. Who says we have to move Garland forward and martin into the ruck anyway? IMO Martin's best position is in defence BY FAR. Warnock would have good value on the trade table and IMO is surplus to our needs. As it stands now, he is starting FB though.
