I've really loved seeing all finals (bar 1) decided by c.40+ points. And teams get a roll on because you can't put a player behind the play after a goal to stop the momentum. And all free agents want to go to the top 4. So good for footy.

I'd imagine Obeanie1 means our actual pick would be at pick 19 regardless of the quirks, but under the current system you're right, there really would be no benefit.
