Podcast Tigercast - David King interview

Actually 195cm so has the height to play tall, but right now not the strength. We have two options I think, develop in the VFL or adjust his position slightly. Deep in defence he is pushed around because he is lightly framed, so move him up to half back where size is not such an issue. Can...

Podcast Tigercast - David King interview

Faull is a bit of a rough diamond. He might not have the class of Caddy or Shanahan, but he has cattle dog in him that they do not have. Once he gets stronger and learns how use that aggression he will be a good player maybe better than good. Plus he is workhorse x racehorse. Has very good...

    Who goes?

How hard to gut? Right now you would think there are lots of spots available, but just taking our forward line into account, there shouldn't be. Lalor, Hotton, Campbell, Cumming will all play forward at times. Algar looks a player. Faull, Sims, Armstrong. The weakest links will be Mansell and...

Have Richmond passed North and west coast

Gray has played 12 games, most of them in sides being pumped. Was playing park footy a few years ago, so not really a fair comparison. He has exceeded expectations by a long way and looks a player. Kicking will improve, like most 12 game players.

Player Watch #10 Taj Hotton - Hip Stress - Test Round 14

about a week, if he doesn't kick half a dozen in a half of VFL.

Player Watch #24 Sam Grlj - Round 7 Rising Star Nomination

Would have said a week off and Smith takes his place but we have a bye so maybe not. Smith was pretty good in the VFL, plenty of overlap running which we short of, and his kicking was very good. 13 of his possessions were kickouts, but even then he ran 20m and kicked some lace out 50m passes...

Player Watch #17 Maurice Rioli Jnr - Hamstring - Available Round 14

Hardly deluded when I say he is on the edge and would not make best 23 and fighting it out with the fringe players. I think Rioli has been given a thankless role as a pressure forward. The amount of defensive sprinting has has to do it ridiculous. In a good side he would not have to do that...

Player Watch #17 Maurice Rioli Jnr - Hamstring - Available Round 14

It's a bit hard to judge Rioli. Small forwards in poor sides struggle generally, unless they are very good players. Would Rioli be better in a strong side, I think yes. But is that enough. Our forward line outside the talls will have Lalor, Campbell and Hotton as certainties. They will go...

Like Ryan no core strength. Moves well and good hands, but skinny legs and through the core.

Autopsy Roast & Toast v Sydney/Mid Season Review

I thought 20 goals was on, 19 was close. Anyone who thought we would get close today has not been watching our games against quick fast strong forward running sides over the last 2 years. When the pressure was up early we were okay, but as soon as the game opened up and pace became an issue...

    Game Day Round 12 v Sydney SCG Saturday May 30th 1.15pm - No Lynch/VFL From 10am

Blaming a game plan when you can't get the ball is sort of pointless, much less when you are getting smashed.

Algar gets a free pass to fly for his marks. Should enjoy that, natural marker.
