you're right, we do, but i dont think we need to use pick 2 or 3 do get a HBF

Still dont rate curtin as a good fit for where our list is at (dont see him as KPD, more a tall HBF) I think a combination of Reid/Mckercher, watson and o'sullivan would be perfect for us. Ticks of 3 different area's of the field and all provide something we are lacking.

wern't they the ones who bid on Luke Mcdonald, forcing us to use a first round pick, i'd consider that right up their with murder

In fact the more i look at it, if the club is desperate to take a KP player i would be trading back with pick 3 (comp for McKay) to get O'sullivan. He's such a great reader of the play behind the ball and is such a good mark, both contested and intercept. Hasn't got the flashy aspects of his...

This clip only further strengthens my point, played as a Key position back, did ok in the contest regarding spoiling, but not one contested mark and maybe only one intercept if he was lucky, but even it was just a kick that went over the forwards head, he didn't actually make a move to intercept...

i kept waiting to, almost hoping to see it, but his positioning isn't that of a Key defender, he is so much more effective when the ball is on the ground

Not one contested or intercept mark, people need to stop seeing him as a Key position player, height doesn't mark you key position, its how you play the game that does. He is a tall HBF, maybe a very good one, but he isn't what we need at pick 1 to 3

This summarises it pretty well for me too, your getting a tall skilful HBF that looks like he should be playing as a KPD/interceptor but doesn't actually take many intercept or contested marks, not sure i'd want that with Pick 2. I really rate what he does as a player, and he does it will, im...

I would rather connor than Dan curtin. O'Sullivan plays a much better defensive and intercepting role than Curtin. For all of Curtins great traits (disposal by hand and foot, athletic, composure) he lacks the ability to hold a contested/intercept mark, Curtin seems to fumble so much when the...

Game Day Pre-season Game v Bulldogs Saturday 1:10pm at Ikon Park

I was at the game on Saturday, somehow managed to watch the whole thing and also surprisingly managed not to throw anything at that bulldog supporter that chanted after each goal. Im not sure if it's been mentioned, but the biggest issue i had with the game was our Key forwards Larkey refused to...
