    Anelka

Anelka is a convert to Islam, which might explain his racist salute. It doesn't take a genius to work out that a certain cultural/ethnic group is responsible for the bulk of anti-semitism emanating from France. the murder of Ilan Halimi, the Toulouse school kids massacre etc. When I hear about...

    16k at etihad tonight

But Melbourne have have been drawing around DOUBLE what North drew yesterday. They're playing well this year and if 16k turned up yesterday they would rightfully receive criticism, but that isn't happening. No idea what these "free tickets" are that you're referring to.

    16k at etihad tonight

I think they include the reserved seats in the official attendance and some of those don't show up, but i'm not 100% certain. May indeed have been less than 16k.

    16k at etihad tonight

I don't know how many fans they have but I read somewhere that they have more than Melbourne, yet Melbourne got 28k to the G today and 36k on a saturday night a few weeks back, both against interstate sides. The fans are there, they're just not showing up for some reason.

    16k at etihad tonight

Yep, there is really no excuse for such a turnout. Can't blame the weather, can't blame the timeslot, can't blame the importance of the match. No excuses, which makes the crowd all that more disappointing.

    16k at etihad tonight

Saturday night, vital match against Adelaide (who always get a few travelling supporters) and only 16,000 show up??? Inexcusable. Get behind your club North fans... they'll need you now more than ever.

    The bounce

Well given the ratings Porky Hellier may as well end the show with a "Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-... That's all, folks... forever!"

Preview AFL Round 5 Melbourne V Brisbane Lions Official Thread

With Brown and Black out it's interesting to note that Luke Power is the only player playing on Saturday night that played for Brisbane in the 2004 Grand Final. This side really is the "new" Lions and most will be playing together for the next half decade which is a great spot to be in.

    ATP Barcelona - HUGE TIP

This is funny - one of the biggest plunges of the year sees Nicolas Lapentti's odds drop from 3.10 to 1.80 on the back of a suspected 'stomach virus' to opponent Jurgen Melzer. Result - Melzer wins 6-3 6-3 and punters lose an absolute fortune. :p

    ATP Barcelona - HUGE TIP

The guy must have confused him with someone else. Calling Lopez a clay court specialist is like calling Leon Davis a finals specialist. *ba-doom-tish!*

    ATP Barcelona - HUGE TIP

Yes, Lopez worst surface is clay, only someone with very little tennis knowledge would suggest otherwise. This isn't a matter of opinion or open for debate... he struggles on the dirt and has for most of his career. It's his weakest surface by some margin. Fact. Monaco will probably win, but...

    ATP Barcelona - HUGE TIP

Your selections may get up but a couple of points... Monaco has an injured wrist and is having surgery on it after the French open. He's been playing through the pain for the past couple of months but always a danger of a flare up... losing to lefty clown Berrer last week not a great sign. DGT...
