i agree but they've already traded it to port.
big issue i have with trading the future first is it limits what we can do next year. if murphy is forced to retire we then have a hole in defence and wont be able to get a quality replacement next year.
now can you please get this published somewhere so we dont have to constantly read in the herald sun that we're paying 300k/year for the next 5 years!!
not with 2nd year players it doesnt. and its almost unheard of that a 2nd year player would ask for a trade to another team in the same state. nathan freeman did but off the top of my head cant think of any other AFL player that has.
agree with this. surprised that so many are talking him down, for me he's tracking better than almost everyone else from his draft. although i will admit that i'm influenced heavily by his vfl games. when he's on he's almost unstoppable.
very disappointed with the geelong fans in this thread. most are willing to offer a 1st round pick (which he's worth.) do you guys not know how bigfooty works? surely a bundle of 3rd and 4th round picks is all we'll get!
all those clubs are keen cause we've already let it be known we're letting him go for next to nothing. this is the calm before the storm, this thread is gonna explode soon.
definitely a possibility but i think its a red flag that neither giants coach this year gave him much time in the guts. i dont think his body is up to it anymore. happy to be proven wrong.
played alright but showed his limitations yet again. maybe he used to be better in the clearances but has had a lot of injuries and lacks any physicality now.
