    I agree that Dempsey could really be anything if given a midfield spot. He’s obviously fantastic on the wing but could be more influential inside, and he seems to have all the attributes.

    The rain is also the thing that I’m nervous about. Not necessarily that we will play bad in the wet, just that it is an unknown. The forecast is looking less ominous now though; 0-4mm with 50% chance of 1mm.

    The ballot gives you access to reserved seats. Every full member can access the grand final, but they have to queue for unreserved seats.

    I wonder whether they released the full allotment of standing room. The grand final seems to really fill the standing bays compared to other ‘sell outs’ in recent years. I don’t see much reason why both games this weekend can’t achieve 97,000.

    Out of interest I joined the queue at 3pm. Got through an hour later but no singles left. It said there was availability in a lot of categories, but when you clicked something it said allocation exhausted.

    Terrible queuing process this morning. It just wouldn’t let me select a seat, and kept freezing. I got a restricted view seat in the end; going by myself and it’s all I can afford. On face value, it’s probably a better seat than the back level 4 which were also $65 (+$9 service!) . I’m glad...

    The flaw in this argument is that port averaged 26,000 in a large stadium. Brisbane’s average is impacted by the number of sell outs. The years 2022-2032 will also be a more accurate compression; I dare say this average will be closer to 30 than 25.
