    Luke Ball went PSD and ended up at the club he desired. I think Ameet is in a brillaint bargaining position AS LONG AS CARLISLE DOESN'T BLINK.

    The team that value him at $500,000 pa not $700,000. He's not going to Hawks. It's difficult for Dodoro to negociate when there's only one team who are going to pay what he wants.

    If Carlisle goes to PSD it'll be with a one year contract at $1.5 mill. That way he's assured of getting to Saints.

    Carlisle is worth a late first round pick, so likely mediation would dictate 5 for Carlisle plus 23. StKilda seem happy for it to go to mediation. They will argue the second round two pick is insurance because of Carlisle's dance with WADA in November, which may mean he doesn't play for up to...

    Unaware of the 'first year..' exclusion but i think he's coming up to his 3rd year anyway.

    It's not about 'fair' unless it goes to mediation. it's about pragmatism, Will Carlisle go to Hawks? Maybe yes maybe no. If he stands firm then either Essendon accept StKilda's offer or they don't, leaving Carlisle to decide what to do.

    Ross will be a good, tough onballer. Always at the bottom of the pack. Good kick but a bit slow.

    Just like the deal when we traded Ben McEvoy to Hawks a couple of years ago. Was a win for all parties. Tom Hickey will be our 4th ruck by 2018 behind Billy Longer, Jason Holmes and Lewis Pierce. Hickey would have to be happy with the move.

    If he goes he'd ask for $1.5 Mill for a one year contract and only one team would pick him up. It won't go to that, it'll either go to mediation or something close to current offer. I understand StKilda have talked to both Seb Ross and Tom Hickey about going to Ess

    As a Saints fan I could see this working - though Ameet might try and swap 27 for 23 also.
