    Australian Test 11 1980-2005 v ROW 80-05

Interesting: you leave out the greatest left-armer of all time (Akram) and probably the best 'take the game away opener' (Greenidge) and pick a keeper who used to sit there like a baseball catcher (Dujon). Murali would make Dooj look like a complete idiot. Dujon was a batter that could catch...

I know what you mean about Gilo. But Vaughan is his best mate (questionable). I heard the Jones absolutely loves himself. Our Saffer is probably a bit of a chopper too - he certainly dresses like one. Yes I had heard that Clarke was really close mates with Martyn. Seeing as I had heard...

Interesting. Clarke and Martyn get on really well do they not? I also heard that Martyn was a bit dull and snears a lot: needs to smile. Although his chick is useful. Clarke, despite being an out of the jar Aussie! :D , looks like a decent enough lad. Re. England - I know Straussy pretty...

Really? I heard they were both quite decent chaps - Slats seems a fairly good fella, although he does get on a touch too well with Mark Nicholas who really is a gripper

Good...it seems they are both fairly solid lads.

There were some whispers that Slats was the father of Gilchrist's child? Is this true - anyone know the low-down?

He does say 'look' before answering any questions: in that he is fairly typical!!! :D

Yes that was good - but that is because the only side to come close to the Aussies were the Indians, and they are generally a bunch of ********ers. I mean can you imagine having a beer with the Price of Bengal? What a prick he is. Whereas i reckon most of the Aussies and English enjoy the...

I accept that he was brilliant in India and he did play very well at the Oval. It was a tough pitch to get in on initially, but he played superbly well. I just can't put him in the same class as Punter, Waugh and possibly Gilchrist. It is a tough one and he was the leading player on the planet...

semantics really - all about definition of the word. Look (a true Australianism!!! that seems to get into every interview), I have been a massive admirer/fan of Aus. cricks for a long time now and I can defo. say that Hayden is a stunningly good player - I would have to say that Waugh and...

I think more pertinently, the two great bowlers have stood out and with their assistance, they have made a lot of top players look like great players - Hayden, Martyn are two classic examples or very high quality cricketers who look like immense cricketers.

Its a good question. I would say in many sports that it is is the best players who stand out in a great side - Pele in 1970 Brazil side, par example, but cricket seems to be a bit different. The cream always rises.
