Crickets mainly an individual sport when your batting so why would it be any different if he played for another less successful team??Nightmare said:I accept that he was brilliant in India and he did play very well at the Oval. It was a tough pitch to get in on initially, but he played superbly well. I just can't put him in the same class as Punter, Waugh and possibly Gilchrist. It is a tough one and he was the leading player on the planet (stats-wise) following that tour. I just can't see him having got as many runs over the years in a weaker team, whereas Punter and Waugh would have got runs anywhere.
Andy Flower - great example of a brilliant, brilliant player that would have walked into any side in the world, and came out of test cricks with an average of over fifty in the world's worst side...(pre-Banglas)
Hayden is a class batsman who doesnt get the praise he deserves for an outstanding career at the top.
