Hi all,
I just saw on twitter that phil davis who is co-captain of GWS Giants is having a Q&A session tonight on twitter. His handle is phildavis_1. Thought it might be interesting to ask him some questions re trade as he was the first bloke to go to gws from crows. may also have some ideas...
It is a thought. Two major issues though.
1. AFL is going NOWHERE in NSW until GWS are successful (and ideally the Swans too). That is the primary objective of the AFL in NSW
2. Newcastle (much like Tasmania) simply doesn't have the population to support a successful AFL franchise.
Regardless - phildavis_16 almost always replies to me when I tweet him. Obviously a top bloke. He clearly hasn't forgot about his AFC fans.
Never had a response from any other players.
Who has the best value tweets and best connects with their fans (the two main things fans want, right?)
My thoughts, in no particular order:
marcmurphy3 (blues)
phildavis_16 (gws)
SP_10 (c'wood)
karmichaelhunt (gc)
samjacobs24 (crows)
Have you guys got onto Davis on twitter? I got started following him a couple of weeks ago...seems like this bloke actually cares about his fans. I recommend him highly. Good value tweets too.
Davis will be in the top 2-3 CHBs within the next 3 years.
Would be ideal to have a couple of med-tall and quick HBFs and a very solid FB - a tarrant type FB. If the CHF and the FF can be shut down (Davis can do it and has shown he can do it, just need a FB who can do the same) then all GWS...
You're a dead set idiot.
1. You've got no eye for talent if you don't know who Davis is
2. Do you expect "western sydneysiders" to know who he is? Has it occured to you that that may just be the reason AFL is expanding there?
They can't just infiltrate and trying to take over the market. How do you think the consumers would respond to that? I'll give you a hint - unfavourably.
They can't just go in assuming they're going to own the fans like they can in Melbourne. You need to get a better idea of the delicacy they...
