    Prediction Best 23 - 2026 edition

Not sure he's done anything to earn a walk up start either. Would it be a travesty to have him earn a spot by performing strongly at WAFL level?

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 3

Was never convinced Chesser was going to make it, so happy for him to try his luck elsewhere. Adam Cerra left Freo when he was a far superior player to Chesser and hasn't really set the world alight. I don't see him thriving at a club like Carlton who seem to rate themselves much better than...

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

Can't see what our fervour is for getting Starcevich. We're overloaded with mid sized defenders, that's miles off the positions we truly need filling. Plus his concussion issues are a huge red flag.

How did Chesser get on that list and Waterman didn't? The others have resumes that show they are very good when at their best. Chesser's done nothing yet to show he'll make it.

Would steer clear of Brandon Starcevich. Would hate to see us pay overs for a sold defender only to see him retire due to concussion protocols as he's had a few. We have plenty of medium defenders, but desperately need positions like ruck, small forwards and wingers filled.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

No tears from me if Chesser goes. Saw him as Jarrod Brander Mark II. Can run, jump, kick, etc, just not a particularly good footballer. My biggest beef with him was that he never looked like he was playing for his career. Not desperate enough, not hard enough, not proactive enough. If he comes...

Can anyone explain to me why we are reportedly offering Jack Graham a 4 year deal? Is he that much better than I rate him?

Toast The Big 4 all getting over a million people through the gate in season 2024

Sounds like the Hawks would be one of the AFL's power clubs if only they didn't sell home games. Can't have it both ways.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

The list of players who showed very little in 4-5 years on the list and never made it would be about 25 times as long as your list of two. Challenge me to trot out some names and I'll be happy to do so. By my reckoning Chesser's a 25/1 shot to suddenly blossom. Even at those odds I wouldn't be...

Prediction Round 23, 2024: Changes vs Carlton

When your opponent gift wraps it even the most difficult shots can become easy.

Prediction Round 23, 2024: Changes vs Carlton

Yes, because Ford was in an impossible position to kick a goal, hemmed next to the behind post, yet he was able to waltz one way and another while his opponent, Hall, was mesmerised until Ford found himself in position to kick a goal, which he did. A goal from nothing that should never have been...

Prediction Round 23, 2024: Changes vs Carlton

I understand your reasoning, but I thought that this year under Simpson we really lacked selection integrity. Guys were performing way under par, yet playing week in week out. A message needs to be sent that if you have a shocker and you have no body of work to cut you some slack, then you need...

Prediction Round 23, 2024: Changes vs Carlton

I thought Hall showed a bit before the game against North. Nothing startling, but maybe there was something there. However he was putrid in Hobart. Showed zero desire or desperation and basically refused to go near an opposition player. Could have been subbed out much earlier than he was. Needs...

Autopsy Round 22, 2024: Positives and Negatives vs North Melbourne

Positive: we won Negative: the boot studder, half the team spent most the day on their arse after slipping over in what seemed perfect conditions

Autopsy Round 21, 2024: Positives and Negatives vs Gold Coast

I like Harry Edwards, I think he can make it. But he's too reactive. Waits for his opponent to make a move and then responds. On a decent opponent that's too late. He needs to develop his positioning and anticipation. I'm guessing he's so intent on his opponent that those two attributes get...
