I looked at the leagues 'new' website when I got to the office this morning. All I can say is "wow, what a come-down". That lost password has really impacted on the league. Its such a shame.
Well said. Its about time more people stand up for what is logically, ethically and morally right about this subject. I think the apparent little thought given to cost aspect of any change will also prove severe.
The title of the league was well named and well accepted by those involved now...
Well said Deitzy. No good of taking old blokes to Sydney and dont think that some of the younger guys who have recently departed to play there will want to return. They have made their bed and made new friends in their new clubs.
If 'a team' goes to Sydney and starts losing games, our local...
Under 18s, unlike the two open age grades (in a club), are, because of their age, a unit of their own.
This divisionalisation has many benefits but has some down sides, particularly for small competitions.
Under 18 coaches have to be so careful to arrange, encourage and manipulate their...
A great game by the Doggies although slipped in the last quarter. Great to see veteran, Dan Pedersen, back with 3 goals after a run in the seconds a week or so ago. He still looks fit.
Not good news with Nelson Bay Under 18s eh, after a big year last season. I know these boys move on but...
What does the 16 week suspension rule etc. mean Deitzy?
What I want to know is why the Terrigal v Wyong first div results were not posted on Sat night or when all the rest of the results were put on?
If it was an issue of an unregistered player from Wyong (home teams always have the advantage...
I too was disappointed at the Doggies effort. I sat there and watched thinking just what our former champions would feel when they saw the results. When Cardiff booted 9 goals in the first quarter, the writing was on the wall. Yes, I am a fan of divisionalisation but this is where it falls...
I think there are a couple of things we need to get used to, in as much as might hurt some.
Newcastle/CC is generally viewed as a backwater. Kids dont see playing football in this area as an asset or a way to further their football ambitions. Lets face it, players at 15-18 who show a bit of...
Unfortunately common sense does not always prevail. There are various influences which encourage people to make rash decisions. Band-aid responses rarely work.
I think everyone wants a level playing field Noodles but when you get someone introduce a bright idea which is either too hard to...
Someone who is running out coaching rep teams, and his cronies, should be paying more attention to the governance of the league. Take on a position and you take on the responsibility to serve the league (or club - as the case may be).
I hate to invoke the law but this time I went to the...
Good point. This divisionalisation thing has to be handled with so much care. I do think its a great idea but has its drawbacks and those pulling the strings should get their heads together and ask where it can go wrong and start making some contingency plans. Be pro-active rather than (shit...
Running off to Sydney is not the answer and I dont think Gosford should be applauded for opting out on a system which caters for local footy.
At the end of the day, Gosford were losers and didnt have the people to equip them for a better mounted pitch at the BDAFL premiership. I know you...
You will find it rubbish W17 when your side comes up against the best five teams in the competition and gets belted every second or third week with no sign of a way out until the end of the season.
How long are your players going to cop it before they walk away and your team comes last in the...
