here's a question: did the swans get as much crap for Barry Hall getting to play in their premiership as they, and others, give to the bulldogs for the free kick count? Maybe the swans supporters are happy to be able to deflect some of that criticism onto the bulldogs.
I seem to recall, though I could be mistaken, him saying that the bulldogs would never win a premiership while Dickson's in the team. For a while, but again I could be mistaken, he was as negative about Dickson as he was about Jong. It would have been great if Jong hadn't gotten injured and...

Chris Grant is the "Director of the Football Department". I think that his role now would be pretty hands on dealing with on-field issues and issues relating to players and coaches inside and outside of football. Perhaps his former role was administrative.
So, given that he was dealing with...
But then, looking at the average age of teams and the average of games played, the bulldogs are always somewhere around the middle, so I don't really understand why people say that the team is so young .......
People here are always talking about how young the team is, and young teams are up and down, so it should be expected that they'll play a good few weeks then a few bad ones. That's the reality of having a young, inexperienced team.
Personally, I can't believe that this thread is still going, and that people still find so many different ways of analysing it. Every premiership is an "accident" and requires luck. And, you make your own luck: if you consistently finish in the top four, you increase your chances of winning...
I think that when the bulldogs became the Western Bulldogs that the AFL had told them that if they went bust that they'd finance them in moving to western Sydney.
