Strength Weight Training: Anything and Everything II

I never once told him that he should be training 10 times a week for 2 hours at a time The common trend seems to be though, that if you begin to plateau you should train less, when all real world evidence suggests the opposite @Gee - no such thing as a professional weightlifter or powerlifter...

Gym & Misc Irritating people/things that annoy you in the gym II

You should unload the bar to increase longevity of the bar anyway You bend Eleiko's leaving them loaded with as little as a plate a side Leaving a bar loaded would be an instaban in any gym I'd ever own

Gym & Misc Getting Started at a Gym

IMO Starting Strength is one of the most overrated programs in existence Lacks any proper upper back/scapula retraction work, 45 working reps a week for squats, less for the other lifts is nothing N00bs need more practise to ingrain the movements And I don't care what people say, if you start...

Strength Weight Training: Anything and Everything II

They're all powerlifters and squat in the 200-380 bracket with just knee wraps Off the top of my head it's at about the 7 minute mark your ATP stores return to about 90% of full capacity (depending on fitness levels). It's also about the time between attempts at comps with big flights of...

Gym & Misc Reputable RTO's offering online Cert III/IV in Fitness?

Go the cheapest/quickest route I've seen the course material of a few different RTOs and it's virtually all the same I did mine with AIF, cost me $300 or something stupid like that. Didn't learn a great deal but if you're expecting to do the course and all of a sudden become Australia's best PT...

Mass Weight Training: Building Muscle - A Tribute to Kong

1 - No one ever ends up being bigger than they want to be 2 - sell whatever equipment you have and get a squat rack, power bar and some plates Where abouts in Tassie are you, I know powerlifters in both Burnie and Glenorchy that could help you out with programming, technique etc
