Vic Safety in Melbourne's streets - thoughts?

I really don't know what you're talking about there. I live in Fitzroy St and rarely see any problems. Naturally with so many bars etc you get a lot of intoxicated people on Saturday nights etc but I have rarely seen a fight, which is what we're talking about.

    Portugal

Lemon & herb isn't spicy but all other options of the chicken is 3 different levels of spicy peri-peri sauce. So yes I would say nandos has spicy chicken whereas traditional Portugese restaurants do not.

    Portugal

Regarding Portugese Chicken (Nandos style). You can get it at restaurants in touristy areas but Portugese food traditionally is not spicy. Spicy food was introduced by the African population in Portugal but most restaurants/cafes are not owned by Africans and typically serve traditional...

    Portugal

Loved Portugal. If you like nice beaches and a great party town, don't miss Lagos. Fantastic place to laze around during the day then enjoy some great food at night before checking out the full on nightlife. Also if you're not one of those that hates meeting other Aussies while overseas...

Biffy Clyro - The Most Underrated Band of All Time!!!!

Discovered Biffy via the Puzzle album which I absolutely love. Started a thread some time ago on BF about them and someone recommended Infinity Land as a better album. I got a hold of that but in my opinion I still much prefer Puzzle.

    Ron Dale Barrasi Bashed

Just in response to some of the earlier posts commenting on the dangers of St Kilda in particular Fitzroy St. I live in Fitzroy St and for the numbers of people that pile in there from the suburbs on the weekends there are very few incidents. I definately do not feel in danger walking around at...

top 5 artist of all time

If you've ever been to places like Asia or Africa you'd realise how big a world wide influence Bob Marley has. For this reason I'd have him in the top 2.

    Biffy Clyro

Didn't get to see them live but love that album Puzzle more and more. Will definately take the advice and get hold of their previous material Vertigo of Bliss and Infinity Land. Anyone got a report on the gig?

    St Kilda pubs/clubs

There is a huge variety of options in St Kilda. You would think most people would find something there to suit them. The George itself has several diverse bars. The snakepit (downstairs) is much like a public bar with pool tables. The Wine Bar is a bit more upmarket. The White Bar (upstairs)...

    Urban Burger

It's on Bridport St, Albert Park, off Ferrars St. They're more traditional Fish & Chip style but done very well. Highly recommended.

    Urban Burger

Yeah, go to the Middle Park one sometimes. Very nice! Living in St Kilda you are blessed with good Burger joints in and around the area. Urban Burger Middle Park and Elwood, Andrews Burgers - Albert Park (awesome), Coneheads and BBNT in Fitzroy St, Greasy Joe's and Grill'd in Acland St and...

    Favourite and Non-Favourite Players?

I noticed quite a few people have Scotty Chisolm as one of their least favorites and I'm not condoning their choices at all but on an irrelevant side note on Scotty. I grew up knowing him when he lived in Melb's Sth East around Mulgrave/Springvale/Noble Park area before they moved to Darwin. He...

Good Pubs in Melbourne and Sydney

It's not really a party pub so much other than Thursday's but just thought I'd include a good suburban pub in there. Good beer garden, cheap beer and big, cheap meals. A favorite of the locals (not that I live out that way anymore).
