    Pitto hasn't done 3 ACLs and isn't taking up a significant chunk of salary cap. We wouldn't mind keeping him. GWS simply couldn't keep blokes like Patton and Scully if they want to retain blokes like Whitfield, Cameron etc etc in the future.

    Sad to Birch go, but if the club is only willing to offer a rookie contract there's obviously serious doubts whether his body can hold up against the rigors of AFL footy. Hopefully he can get back to playing some consistent footy up there in the warmer weather.

    yeah 14,24 and 12-16 is equivalent of pick 1 in points. 14, 24 and 17-18 is equivalent to pick 2 in points. Good haul and probably fair enough for both clubs.

    only risk would be Fremantle's 6(Hill) or 7 I would say. Essendon don't have a pick before West Coast's pick 14 and Dodo's the only one campaignery enough to do it for the lulz.

    sounds the ball's in West Coast's court to get it done. Explaining to Kelly that West Coast are unable to honor their commitment to him because the club isn't prepared to meet Geelong's demands would be an awkward conversation to have.

    yea, I dunno. It's sure going to be intriguing to watch unfold. When the crunch comes, I dare say Geelong will accept West Coast's best offer. They'll still receive a decent return on their original investment, just probably not as much as they should.
