1. Not too bad, did well to move around the ground and took some good grabs. Gave Monash first use in many stoppages. Reflected in stoppage clearances around the ground but oddly didn't translate to centre clearances. 2. Many Old Marcellin boys played juniors there and just as many play there...- Word Count: 89

Interesting set of results from the weekend leaves The Eagles on top of the tree. We controlled the game against Monash but kept letting them back in for a 5 or so minutes every quarter. Marcellin just held on against a late charge by Mazenod. Very scrappy game with not much in it for the duration. Very good run and carry from Mazenod but the Eagles were relentless at the ball carrier to hold on to the win. Ablett was the difference for Fitzroy last week against the Eagles. Quiet for two quarters he bobbed up when he was needed in the last half of the final quarter to snatch the game away from us.
