    20th AFL Team

Very few people will switch. Do you know anyone who would switch? A second team in Collingwood would also be bigger than most other options but that is no reason to bring them in. Who does WA3 benefit?

How do you mean it is tough to get seats? A few days out you can buy tickets to all Freo games at Optus except the Derby. And plenty of ticket available for most WC games as well.

    2026 Attendances

Sunday night games before a public holiday usually work well. Zero GWS fans there is why is will be GC’s lowest crowd of the year, not the timeslot.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Pick 37, Henry Hustwaite - Debuts against the Dees!

HH isn’t what hawthorn needs. He could be a 100 game player at the right club. If were he, I would head down to Tassie next season and try to get on the list for 2028.

Which Final Ten System is the best option to use post-2028?

Until we have 20 teams or more, we must revert to the Final 8. But if we are to have a Top 10, do it properly and go the second one. The first week this season is going to be flat and underwhelming with four mid range teams on offer.

News "State of Origin is back" - Eddie McGuire, March 2025

Just the 3 big states. Winner stays on with the challenger hosting.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Pick 18, Josh Weddle - now locked in until 2030

The AFL world over-rates him and we expect too much from him. He can be a very good player but he is never going to be one of the best in the league. He plays better as defender. Lacks the smarts the play wing. Luckily Scrim was worse.

Toast Welcome to Hawthorn, Finn Maginness “absolute Hawthorn nuffie” and a Hawk to 2027

He looked out of his depth tonight. Slow, not sure of himself. Will struggle to hold his spot.

Autopsy Round 8, 2026: Hawks bottle it

Happy with the draw after that performance. Mitchell has a lot to work on. Was clearly out-coached. They forced our forwards wide, flooded our 50 and got us on the turnover. We were flat generally, but a a few players were right off. Finn looked out of his depth. Scrim was horrible. Dear’s...

GWS is the AFL's biggest problem - not North, GC, or Tassie

Footy is growing in the inner west. You would expect and hope that some new fans would go for the Giants, but it is 99% Swans.

GWS is the AFL's biggest problem - not North, GC, or Tassie

More likely that the Swans did not want the word ‘Sydney’ associated with another team. I would go West Sydney. Embrace the inner west - Marrickville, Annandale, etc where people actually follow AFL.

    2026 Attendances

Tassie and Canberra should have been teams 17 and 18.

    2026 Attendances

Worst slot for crowds in the NRL. Supporters constantly complain about the 6pm slot. No thanks. Maybe a 6.30pm slot followed by a 9.20pm game in Perth.

    VFL 2026

So you think people that stopped attending Box Hill games 26 years ago once they became Hawthorns reserves will have the interest and enters to basically start up a new club, find sponsors, volunteers, players, etc. There is zero chance of anyone who was involved last century putting that much...

    VFL 2026

There has been no one from the Scorpions involved at Casey since Brian Woodman GM left many many years ago. Melbourne supporters run that club and have since 2009. Similarly, there are no Mustang fans/staff/volunteers left at Box Hill. There is zero chance either club could get up as a stand...
